The Ethiopian Journal of Health and Biomedical Sciences (EJHBS) is the flagship, peer-reviewed publication of the  University of Gondar. Established in 2008, it is an international, multidisciplinary forum dedicated to advancing evidence-based medical and health knowledge, specifically bridging the gap between regional research and global health applications.

Accreditation and Quality Standards

• National Excellence: EJHBS is officially accredited by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education (valid through March 2026), recognizing its role in maintaining high scholarly standards within the East African academic community.
• Ethics and Independence: The journal adheres strictly to the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. While hosted by the University of Gondar, EJHBS operates with full Editorial Independence through its Institutional Neutrality "Firewall" protocol for host-institution submissions.
